At least 10 people have died in Missouri after tornadoes ripped through across the central and southern part of the US, authorities said.

The state's governor has warned of more severe weather, including tornadoes on Saturday.

The state emergency management service has confirmed widespread damage across the region.

"The Patrol and local agencies are working tirelessly to assist those in need and assess the damage," Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a statement on X.
